What do i need?

Step #1

Using sharp scissors, cut Jumpskinz wrap to your required size using the measuring guide on the bottom of the wrap.

You can fold the wrap to give yourself a straight cut guideline.

Fold Jumpskinz wrap back along measuring guide to reveal adhesive.

Use the measuring guide as a centre line to ensure wraps are in alignment along the pole.

Apply wraps to pole in desired position using a tape measure to space evenly.

Gently slide your hand back and forth across Jumpskinz wrap as you rotate the pole. Be sure to smooth any air bubbles out as you go.

The backing paper will come away and the wrap will overlap to cover measuring strip.

Any small misalignments can be trimmed with a blade.

Cut Jumpskinz Protector to size allowing a little extra length to account for shrinkage. You can cover each individual wraps or protect the whole pole in one go.

Slide Jumpskinz Protector over Jumpskinz wrap, ensuring a little overlap.

Pour freshly boiled water quickly and evenly along the Jumpskinz Protector.

Rotate pole and shrink the other side.

Frequently Asked Questions
How durable are Jumpskinz?
How Jumpskinz perform over time is widely variable depending on your environment and use. Whether they are left out 24/7 or stored between uses, your location and weather conditions, the amount of exposure to highly abrasive surfaces and knocks will impact longevity. Jumpskinz vinyl wraps are rated 10yrs indoors & 5yrs outdoors. We use high quality latex inks that are rated for 3yrs outdoors.
Our Jumpskinz Protector is made from heavy duty heat-shrink PVC. It includes a UV additive to further protects the Ink layer from abrasions and UV exposure.
Can I use Jumpskinz over freshly painted poles?
Jumpskinz require very hot water to shrink effectively. This may damage freshly applied paint. We recommend following the manufacturer's instructions on the paint tin and only applying Jumpskinz once paint has completely cured.
Can I use Jumpskinz over an un-painted pole such as treated pine?
Yes, you can. The vinyl wraps and protector sleeve work perfectly well over raw timber. The wraps feature a black backing which prevent you from seeing the timber underneath.
Can Jumpskinz be used over smaller diameter poles?
Jumpskinz Protector can be successfully shrunk over 75mm-100mm poles.
Some of our Jumpskinz vinyl wraps with words and patterns are designed specifically to suit 100mm poles and may not suit smaller diameters. Each product has a recommended size guide.
Can I repair damaged Jumpskinz protector?
Yes, simply cut damaged section away from pole and slide a replacement protector section over the effected area. Ensure there is some overlap to account for shrinkage.
My edges are not straight, how can I get a professional look?
Any misalignments on vinyl wraps or protector can be trimmed off with a sharp blade to create a straight edge.
My poles are wonky, will Jumpskinz still work?
For wonky poles, we recommend applying Jumpskinz wraps in smaller sections. You can still create wide bands of colour by overlapping each piece. This will allow the design to more easily follow the contour of your pole and reduce wrinkles. Jumpskinz Protector will work perfectly well over wonky poles.

My name is Anne and I've been in love with horses my whole life. However, I was not privileged to have a horse of my own until I was well and truly grown-up. Ever since the day I bought my first horse Spencer, I've striven to learn as much as possible to set him up for success.
This journey eventually led me down the path of pole-work to help build his core strength. So, I needed to get myself some poles!
Buying custom painted poles is expensive and being a handy DIYer I set about making my own. Although I'm reasonably creative, I wanted something that would look timeless since I didn't want to be re-painting anytime soon. Well painting such a simple classic design took so much time. All the taping and waiting for each coat to dry, all the painting! I began to wonder if there was an easier solution and that's where Jumpskinz began.
